Fallout New Vegas for XP?

It keeps on having a ERROR sign and shuts down then I have to restart it and do it again and the only way to get back to the right place or closer to it I have to quick save it A LOT! Can someone help me? PS: I have already uninstalled it and reinstalled it and it still dose it.
